Best IEM in Show - Andromeda 10
Campfire is proud to receive ecoustics 'best IEM in show' for our new, ten-driver IEM, Andromeda 10! With a wide range of brands and in-ear monitors on display, at one of North America's largest audio expos, Andromeda 10 was able to stand out as 'one of the most technically ambitious IEMs' at CJNY.
"I was impressed by the industrial design, the relatively manageable weight, and how comfortable they felt compared with many other high-end IEMs I tried at the show. Sonically, the balance also worked in their favor: not overly bass-heavy and, importantly for my ears, not aggressive or fatiguing in the upper registers; both of which would be deal breakers. Andromeda 10 is a celebration of Campfire's decade long endeavor to create the tools that bring listeners closer to music, and further, is a synthesis and advancement of the legendary Andromeda line of IEMs. It expands the classic five driver configurations to a massive, ten-driver balanced armature array. This is paired with Campfire's careful acoustic engineering, including proprietary TAEC and NEMC tuning elements, to create a new, expanded performance, technically and sonically, while remaining true to the classic Andromeda sound that many know and love.

The Andromeda Legacy
Andromeda was first created in 2016, since then, Campfire has created a range of special editions, alongside several core revisions the mainline Andromeda. Since the beginning, Andromeda has been known for its engaging, spacious presentation and holographic soundstage, as well as its signature 'just-north-of-neutral' tuning; a balanced and accurate tuning that incorporates a touch of warmth and color to its signature.
Andromeda quickly became a go-to, all-around performer for many audiophiles and is still cited by many as their entry point to the hobby over a decade later. With Andromeda ten, we sought to celebrate the history and performance of the classic Andromeda by returning to the classic tuning and applying a decade of IEM design and engineering knowledge and technique to elevate it to new heights.

Andromeda 10 features ten balanced armatures with four low-frequency drivers, four mid-frequency drivers, and two high-frequency drivers. It is available in three striking versions, with two, limited launch editions in stainless and Damascus steel and standard edition in classic Andromeda green.
In terms of sound, Andromeda 10 offers a highly resolving and expansive sound. It's technical capabilities are reflected by detailed layering, accurate imaging, and engaging soundstage. Bass response is well-textured, and impactful, while remaining accurate and tight, exceeding the level of bass performance that many associate with all-BA configurations. Mid frequencies truly shine with Andromeda 10, its four mid-BAs and Noise Elimination Mid Circuit (NEMC) are tuned to highlight vocals and melodies with a rich and well-defined sonic timbre. In the upper-registers, Andromeda 10 creates a wonderful sense of air, and space, while imparting shimmer and brilliance to cymbals, reverb, and the like.
In another first, Andromeda 10 is the first Campfire IEM to feature two-pin connectors, increasing its cross-compatibility with your wider collection of IEMs and cables. It is equipped with Campfire's popular Time Link modular cable, or a custom gold-plated copper cable in the case of the limited launch editions.
